The Polar Bears of Greenland’s ‘Forbidden Coast’ by Adrian van der Lee

Published 20:13 on 6 Mar 2019

A Cháirde na Mara,

The Polar Bears of Greenland's 'Forbidden Coast' by Adrian van der Lee is the title of our next Poolbeg Presentation in aid of the RNLI at 8pm in Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club.

It will take place on Thursday 7 March, only two weeks after Gregor McGuckin's captivating account of his Golden Globe 2018 Race.
For our March 'virtual voyage', we will travel deep within the Artic Circle with photographer and adventure sailor, Adrian van der Lee. Adrian joined an Icelandic expedition to the rugged and desolate coast of East Greenland to film and photograph Polar Bears.

Discover the magnificent beauty of this remote Artic region from on board "Artika", a classic 25-metre, steel-hulled ketch and find out what happened when a Polar Bear attacked their inflatable dingy while the team were on shore!
